Lug nuts...

Today, my husband and I had to get some tires for the truck and for some reason 2 lug nuts were missing so we went to the dealership...bad idea, they wanted $12 for each lug nut, these are what lug nuts look like

When at Autozone they were $2...now tell me there was something wrong there...

Funny! Just had to add it!

Ok, so this is one of the reasons why my husband does all my car work because I know that as a woman I was taken advantage of at car mechanic shops. This video is blown out of proportion but it is a huge hyperbole of what really goes on, and this actually happened...

The Before Pictures

This is the 1999 Dodge Dakota in which the suspesion is shot, in other words--- worn out! Almost all the components related to the suspension will be replaced i.e. shocks (front and rear), tie rods (inner and outer-driver and passanger side), ball joints (upper and lower on both driver and passanger side), control arm bushings (upper and lower on both driver and passanger side) and the leaf spring suspension bushings (on both driver and passanger side). Oh and by the way I just decided to replace the headlights because they were cracked and damaged--so I bought some online this morning. This is what one of the headlight looks like now...

I will post the picture of the cool new ones installed later when they get installed. I will also keep you updated on the suspension installation process when the suspension components arrive.
Bye for now

First BLOG 1/11/08

This is going to be a great blog! The project actually started yesterday when I bought all the parts for the Dodge Dakota 1999. After all this you will see the whole process my husband and I went through to fix the suspension for the truck. Can't wait to see how it turns out!
